I love the style of John Scalzi; he writes well. When I speak of writing I am not referring to the style, but the way things are brought. Old man's war is a book that reads easily, without stops or slowdowns (well, I do not intend the commendable efforts of the author to try to make us understand the complex concepts of physical well; this is a fight that I I lost a long time ago!). This fluidity in writing (and therefore in the reading), that some might call "easy", is a great quality in my eyes; a book worked well in the background to make a digestible reading, and with humor, and more!
Which are certainly less digestible battles, where the pieces of aliens (and human) spurt right and left; battles are rather numerous (well, I might have expected, of course!), hence my 4 stars but I could have put 5, especially if I had a different chromosome in the lot.
My son will love it!
