Have fun with the new careers

With the first real addon a few normal careers are finally available. This also explains why the long-standing professions like doctor or police officer in the base game were no longer available. The idea, to finally accompany their Sims to work, was already a long time desire of some fans. Combined with the ability to open stores, already provides the addon at first glance quite a lot of opportunities, but also reminds strongly of Open for Business in combination with Ambitions. Me have the "new" careers interested (doctor, medical and police) in the first place. I think the addon offers a lot of fun, but I'm still looking forward to the long-term motivation. Because just when I have to play always the same in the careers doctor, policeman or scientist, so it is still boring and I'm not necessarily trying each time to take on the same tasks again.

With the addon there were again a number of new hairstyles, clothes and of course furnishings. It has struck me that there are especially for the police career a lot of unlockables, significantly more than the doctor or scientist career (for which there is almost nothing).

What I found very disappointing was that there are no new ambition and character! That hit me really, I would have liked, for example, "curiosity" or "scientific curiosity" or anything in this way support the new careers. Unfortunately, there was nothing. Even in outdoor life, there was at least one "squeamish". Too bad ... The new neighborhood Magnolia Promenade or rather the business district is ridiculously small with 3 pre and 1 empty lot. What was that all about? I like neither the transactions nor the ideas that lie behind. Unlike the usual elaborate designs my shops are found very simple and unloving. Va, 2 stores house fashion, which I do not find very resourceful. Va, since you can now, for example, start a career photographer. Well, the business can be exchanged so, but at only 4 land remains one there is not really much freedom. The individual worlds have to be controlled by a small globe on the top left now by the way, the game is different, more recently, between trips (for outdoor living) and the neighborhoods.

I have all 3 times alluded careers and so far they are still quite interesting, but also lose its appeal quickly, because you always have to do the same tasks with a new Sim. Unfortunately, the world of work can not be separately controlled, but the game asks one before starting work if you want to accompany his sim or not. If you want to come with me, immediately activated the ever-popular loading screen and you end up in the professional world. Here you will find the hospital, the police station and the science building. On the land you can move freely and as long as one is in the professional world, even travel there, otherwise that's not (eg a Sim unfortunately can not go to the hospital - a shame!). I also found that 2 Sims from one and the same household are in the professional world, unfortunately, never simultaneously. Only if they are from different households, people meet at work - at least something! Unfortunately, you can after the work not remain on the premises, but the game is loading a mercilessly back home. So no chat with colleagues after work or overtime ... Here you can see the professional worlds do not remodel or rebuild - a shame ...

But what is really well done, is time management! I had a fear that the Join the Sim to work evenings probably no longer enough energy would be available to do anything about. This is not not so, all the needs of stayed with me about in half, so that even for an outing or fun with friends was enough time.

But now to the careers in detail. The careers are found on cell phone like any other previously existing career and can umbewerben easily. The medical and scientific career runs from structurally similar, except that the tasks are adapted to the career. It runs a sort of timer, where you have to perform the tasks, to continue to move forward. If you fulfill all the tasks until the bar is full, you have reached the best job performance and gets the highest salary.

Doctor:
As a physician, one begins in the hospital as an intern at the beginning and gets so simple tasks like "chatting with colleagues, bring the patient in bed eating, drinking coffee, wash your hands," etc. But we must also examine patients, make a smear, this Investigate and if one is not so far advanced, the results of a colleague passed. That did not work out with me, I have repeatedly selected the action, yet it was not accepted. One can administer several treatments the patient well, but for me it was always the case that the diagnosis was already there and the treatment thus was able to walk properly and the Patent healthy home. At first I found the Sim still all very interesting, but the 2nd time it was a bit boring.

Scientists:
Actually you get as scientists tasks like "with colleagues talk," but you have to do research on the devices and achieve breakthroughs to advance much more. The equipment in the science laboratory are really cool and I find them at least quite funny. My Sim has also built at the very beginning something great, he then could try.

Policeman:
The police career runs a bit different, as you travel around a lot more. One has to travel to the scene to investigate tracks, take pictures, interrogate witnesses and then enter the data on the station in the database and analyze it. From the results then you start to create a criminal profile. Later, you have then the neighborhoods and patrolling the neighbors to question whether they have seen anything. In cases where suspicions, so you can write out this Sim to search and then have to consult on a particular plot of the game, the witnesses whether they saw a Sim, to which the description fits again. Here I found the information often is not helpful, and then just have the arrested, who matched the description. Unfortunately, I never found out whether it was ever the correct Sim. If you back at the station, you can take him in the criminal database, search, take fingerprints and interrogate him. I think the police career is so far the most diverse, since it has to do more through the different perpetrators. Unfortunately, you never know at first what was actually committed a crime. It is only called to the scene, which then has different tracks. Again, it is so that you can travel the various places on the map in the police station, everything is controlled by the game. Unfortunately, the career is also the most bugs. My Sim is stuck in surveys already 2 times, I am God came out thanks again, as I have clicked on the bar and premature termination. I thought that was annoying and even pity. As interesting as the police career is also, I would have still wanted to know more about the actual crime, rather than just getting to collect traces, evaluate it and then output the Sim to the manhunt. If you have not closed the case within a day, but it works the next day on the case thankfully on. However, I would sometimes like an overview of the found tracks (the game also says look in notebook on, I've not yet discovered T_T).

Finally, I have also once again viewed the business world in detail, you can for example purchase a business over the phone, do Sims and any goods (as before in Open for Business) to sell, but unfortunately for example no Florists or children's toys ... Everything what can be purchased through the purchasing catalog but you can sell or even his pictures or a photo shop with your own photos. As noted above, I find the shops area much too small and too carelessly designed. The neighborhood looks quite empty and quickly put timbered. There is still much room for improvement.

On the whole, I make the "new" careers but fun, but I almost suspect that the long-term motivation is something inevitable. Due to lack of effort and features the very small business district and the bugs in the police career, therefore only 4 instead of 5 stars.
