My following experiences are consistent with those from other technology unfortunately forums. If my device (it was returned) and their equipment were defective, but your right, then I will give nevertheless only one star wg. fluctuating production qualities.
1) Instead of with the specified max. 14.4Volt (motorcycle or normal, not winter mode) is mercilessly cooked with approximately 15 volts (measured at the vehicle with a voltmeter, do not rely on the wrong internal display, see next point) the battery. While that is good in the short term, to reform sulfation, but in the long run (and which makes the Eufab) kills it every battery.
2) The internal voltage indicator reflects fantasy values, which are approximately 1.5 volts below the actual values (with several multimeters measured it). That may be the reason that many do not realize that the battery is plagued with too heights Volt numbers.
To all who have the Eufab rated positively here. Would be interesting what give your nachgemessenen volt numbers (please measure regularly throughout the charging process, since the voltage is constant never).
Have all the way in bike mode (0.8A) tested on a new 12Ah motorcycle battery ...
Alternative that works (but has no 0.8A 'small battery mode): Alpine 62132
