I had actually gained me the card for experimental purposes, to test whether the HD channels, the HD + hide behind, send really better quality.
The following points are noticed:
1. Prolonged authorization query when the device for the HD + card
2. Long switching times at the HD + transmitters
3. transmitters quality very poor unfortunately for HDTV options.
4. No uniform picture format 16: 9 or 4: 3, etc.
5. For most programs, the audio format is only transmitted in stereo. Even in more recent films surround sound (5.1) is rarely transmitted. If surround sound is transfering, then raised by several dB is sent compared to a DVD or BlueRay the subwoofer channel. Either one then accepts the overdriven bass or you have to constantly readjust the sub channel.
6. The picture quality does not match the real-to-reach HD image quality (EinsFestival HD, the first HD, ASTRA HD test, ... are qualitatively much better). In general, the image of HD + channels is only marginally better than SD channels.
Conclusion: For me, the HD + card rip-off. Apart from the fact that the transmitter-quality is significantly lower than the achievable results, the format is CI + and HD + was invented only when there were already countless consumers who had an HD-capable receiver. With the introduction of the new interface format CI + was quite a group of buyers who had actually brought HD TV through early investments forward, excluded from the circle of users.
In my view, should ASTRA ensure that such a rip-off can not take place via satellite.
This investment has definitely not worth it and is not to be recommended also.
