I have the HDR-FX1000 for 2 years and I am convinced of its image quality and its properties. It surpasses in daylight so some buying Blu Ray. The camcorder is extremely well at night Bright and also as an excellent image quality. Thanks to HDV - that recording to tape - it offers as opposed to AVCHD a relatively stress-free post processing on the PC. To which the bands can be archived also good. Anyone convicted bands because they "Bandsalat" are prone allegedly that I can only say that I have so far not a single "Band Salad" had since 1990 with multiple cameras and movies. A defective memory card but already. The settings for picture are very extensive and has to be made for the first time a firm grasp familiar with the operation, then makes the camera also really fun. For the semi-professional the functional diversity is more than adequate. On the features I would like, however, not go into detail, since due to the diversity of the description is beyond the scope. The built-in microphone is the professional standard not quite fair. The microphone is recommended under normal operating - very well suitable therefore Sound Recording for the background. But if one has to rely on good sound when comments for example, speaks in front of the camera, then you should use another micro or choose the professional version with a large microphone. The only complaint: the autofocus. This works in the wide-angle and the middle region but ideally has its difficulties at the telephoto end. Here, the camera often overlooks the dominant foreground and provides persistently focusing on the background. Then you have to help out manually. Unfortunately, the toggle button for the manual focus is placed very exposed, so that it, for example when pulling out the camera from the carrying bag easily from "Auto" to "manual" bounces. The viewfinder and the display are very sharp and bright. Just because of the focus needs neither the viewfinder nor the display stand comparison with a SLR. Unfortunately, the quality of processing with this model has suffered a bit. The feel is very "plastic way" and was at Sony've been better. Nevertheless, the camera is very robust. In compliance with the above criticisms I forgive five stars because the device comes very close to the ideal image of a camera. It's really a hammer.
