I bought the cable for LaCie and WD MyBook hard drive. Since the LaCie the port is not inserted the plug fits perfectly. When WD MyBook whereas the female is, however, slightly recessed which is why you may completely plug with some force the plug fully or only. One problem was the previously not represent, still there a connection is made. How does however behaves in the longer term, I can not say yet. If there are problems, I will write the then here. Otherwise, this is not too stiff, and due to the small length you have good transfer speeds. Delivery was as usual very fast.
