Heart acceleration feeling

Maximo Park are one of the bands from the UK who have made in recent years for the biggest splash. The first two albums were showered with good reviews and prices and so now comes the third album Quicken The Heart. The rule is: Those who could not do anything with Our Earthly Pleasures, will probably have his problems with this drive. But who, who is the more have more fun !!

The album starts with the song Wraithlike that some might be already well known because it was offered at numerous sites as a free download. A rocking opener, which sounds relatively simple constructed, but nevertheless or perhaps because can grow into a recalcitrant catchy. A Cloud Of Mystery is at first glance a very unassuming song that has a very nice melodic chorus and supported particularly by Paul Smiths song. Calm is a soulful ballad, which may very quickly go to my heart and for me is an absolute finest hour of the album, which speeds up the heart is not necessarily by tempo and volume, but rather by feeling. Toward the end, Calm is more rocking again. In Another World (You Would've Found Yourself By Now) one has the most beautiful choruses of the album and also the Wohohos of Paul Smith are cared for perfectly. When I heard this song on a concert in March, where they were playing Let's Get Clinical for the first time, I was enchanted equal. But on board the song has something jammed and is not as aggressive as they lectured him live. Is probably because that sound very distorted on the panel keyboard and guitar. The next two songs are a little older and have already played at several festivals and concerts last year. Quicken the Heart is a beautiful pop album with Maximo Park and especially Paul Smith in top form. His lyrics and voice meld with the partly quiet and partly rapid melodies in every song to small musical chocolates, which are a delight for ear and soul.
