heavy artillery, Schwalbe's masterpiece !!!

I got the hansdampf evo PaceStar in 29x2,35.
He drives off-road as well as it looks: sovereign to get even worst trails healing down, uphill one loses more balance than the traction. Also through mud, he drives very safely, without getting too bad to add with dirt.

Erstaunlichster point: on asphalt, he is far better than one would think that !!! he drives very quiet and low-vibration, is not too loud and the rolling resistance is unexpectedly low. A real hammer, with the gizmos you can but actually make frustration-free NE 100 km of asphalt tour !!!
It is recommended that the max. permissible pressure of 3.5 bar, then the mature pleasantly firm and the rolling resistance improves, but also at low pressure it is still acceptable. Even more interesting: There are numerous Race Marathon MTB tire, the same or even a higher rollwdst. than this thing.

Off-road, however, is low pressure (1.6 bar VO, 1.8 bar hi) is essential to fully exploit the traction. I ride a mountain bike tour, which also owns a substantial part asphalt, I take 1.8 bar front, 2.0 bar rear. The traction is then but noticeably worse. It can be tedious to find out exactly the optimal pressure, which is the main gripe for me. If you drive with 3.5 bar into the area, this is definitely dangerous tires.
Does not ideal, though is still acceptable even at low pressure, the liability is rooted on wet and glitschsteinen. (Here would have the Trailstar variant definitely benefits)

Otherwise would be the construction very solid worth mentioning that the tire is a great puncture resistance granted. Not afraid splinted trails with sharp stones or thorns!
Installation: just goes right to the leaves mature loosely press in the rim, has never been so easy.

Conclusion: a carefree mature for many applications, from rough terrain to flat asphalt runway, from Alpencross to sylter flat bike path! Ideal for people who want to get on their gummy pedestal not worry. This is the first tire I would really EVERY MTBIKER (Cross Country, All-Mountain, Enduro) recommend unconditionally; an all-purpose tool with no real compromise.

CAUTION: my review refers to the PaceStar variant with its harder, leichtläufigeren rubber compound. To TRAILSTAR variant (which is soft and sticky) is there a huge difference !!!!
