"Hell" is too dark

But as a very pale type I have bought the "light" cream (it was in a hurry and was only able to test at home) and that is much too dark. When I applied the cream, do I look as if I had just come from the Caribbean ...
On the face then looks good, but you then have to also paste the entire neck with.
