After a few hundred shots under a variety of lighting conditions - indoors and out - I am happy with the camera and shoot camera.
It is relatively fast, even if the store takes sometimes. The touch screen responds reliably, but it is impractical that you have to go an extra menu to switch from photo to film and that this is not a button on the camera is provided. The 7.3 GB internal memory is enough for around 3,000 images in 10 MP.
The silvery housing is something fingerprints and scratches at risk, so I recommend a soft camera bag - unfortunately a protective bag not included.
Overall, a camera which is fun, fun also because once again take the digital SLR camera to photograph right ...;)
Addendum 11:05:14 Unfortunately total failure of the battery, through lack of care (deep discharge). Since the camera is significantly worse than others that I leave sometimes even longer lying around unused. Particularly annoying of course, because in the Coolpix S01, the battery can not be taken out, but what would be useful for the life of the battery for a reasonable battery maintenance when not using the camera ...
Pity about the beautiful camera!
