To my wishes. I wanted a Notbook up to 799 with the best possible graphics card because I like to get in involved in one or the other game. And the built-in AMD Radeon 6850M here is a high-end gaming graphics card (see notebookcheck.de). The Windows Experience Index for the graphics card is at least 6.8 / 7.9. Crisis 2 I have already installed and zocke this. In the highest resolution with full details, absolutely liquid and without the slightest stuttering Hammer! the powerful i7 Processor 2nd generation supports both excellent here. The RAM is undersized with 4GB of something, even if it is sufficient for all games and applications, as it could when running multiple programs may be difficult. I am considering upgrading here. 8GB 1333 MHz you get here at Amazon starting at 35 (Elixir), for 100 or more to lie as many providers so request (upon delivery of the notebook with 8GB of home) I think catch Bauer, without me! ;-).
Bottleneck of the notebook in Windows Experience Index is the hard disk that rotates with the standard 5400 U / min. But 7200 U / min. Hard drives, there are at online merchants already at 39 for retrofitting. So if you want to upgrade the notebook (as I plan this) should be able to upgrade the RAM and the hard drive for under 100. Look what that would cost otherwise, when purchasing a corresponding equipped notebooks. For not particularly successful, I think the number and location of the USB ports. 1 x left side front, 2x right side in front. 3 x USB I consider absolute minimum. And a position of the connections on the back Notbook or rear side left or right would be better.
In addition, I must say that the notebook is pleasantly quiet, my 2 year old ASUS notebook was from the beginning much louder. Even in Crisis 2 gamble gabs no significant increase in volume.
Conclusion:
+ Processor
+ Graphics Card
+ Processing
+ Very quiet
+ Itself is not playing particularly hot
+ 9 cell battery
- Hard disk (performance index Bottleneck)
- 4 GB RAM are some little (but with DDR3 1333 MHz)
- Location and number of USB ports (1x left front, 2 x front right)
- Power supply connector does not make the strongest impression (but which is not available in standard notebook and everywhere ;-))
- (Create about Acer eRecovery, unfortunately now also standard in notebooks, which is nothing mitgeleifert.) No Windows 7 CD or driver CD attached
For me, yet unrestricted buy recommendation. Thumbs up price / performance in this case is UNBEATABLE!
