When unpacking, I had the part actually already "eaten": The Tactical design just looks mighty cool, the workmanship is absolutely first class, the feel with the corrugated structure is just great. The lamp is made of aluminum just makes an extremely stable impression, weighing 148 grams (including pocket clip) and a length of 13.2 centimeters and 2.6 centimeters in diameter is the lamp thanks to outstanding balancing excellent in hand. According to the manufacturer description, the torch can withstand a fall from one meter. I habs not tried, but really surprised me the rather low level at the very solid impression that makes the device.
Lithium batteries are conveniently also provided (even good by Panasonic), the installation is very easy. For attaching the bag clips you have to take but the manual for advice, but also goes very easily. The clip is also very solid, the grip around on a belt is very good. However, only downside is the fact that a strap is not included.
But now the main thing: the luminosity of the Mag-Lite Mag-Tac is terrific just for her but rather small size. For me as a relative layman brightness of 310 lumens strong LED was overwhelming. The white-bluish light is so bright that you will already blinded by the reflection on a white wall at the distance of a few meters. When using outdoors the powerful headlight range is clear. According to the manufacturer, the Mag-Tac light up 182 yards, I can definitely confirm that, to my feeling. Here I found especially the still enormous light cone tremendously. When lights from the fourth floor down at night a really extensive area can thus be illuminated. Toll.
The Mag-Tac has three operation modes, "Quick" mode, which is triggered by pressing and holding the rubberized switch on the end cap, the "Full Power" mode, which comes into play at two taps of the button and the "savings" mode, so an attenuated light (in which the operating time also extended), for which the switch must be tapped three times. Admittedly, you can here have also possibly times "make a mistake".
In short: At this flashlight for me there is nothing to complain about. In addition, Mag-Lite, a ten-year warranty, but a defect in the LED or poor maintenance does not enclose offers. So if you want to spend on a really high quality device a little more, is operated by the Mag-Tac fine.
