I write this review, because here so far has not already been created for this product and we are very satisfied with the price-performance ratio.
Once we wanted to have nothing more to do with our cable provider, we decided now to put a bowl on the balcony. Thus the future recording and simultaneous switching to another station through the receiver and connected hard drive should work - because this requires two cables - we opted for an LNB for 8 participants.
The delivery was made by the supplier quickly and easily. The bowl was delivered in a large cardboard box to match the circumference of the bowl and was safely packed. Only a few F-plug had fallen out of a smaller packaging out. All parts or components contained. There was nothing.
To install:
The installation guide is exclusively represented in images. A written language description is not there. For my Craftsman son, who is himself dyslexic, that was not an obstacle. Within 30 minutes he had assembled the dish and ready to build on the balcony. For someone who prefers reading a description, however, this could be a problem. That's the only negative thing I would have to forgive.
I have therefore withdrawn no star, because with us, the installation worked perfectly.
Whether the screws are stainless, remains to be seen over time yet.
We have secured the bowl on a steel pipe with approximately 4.5 cm diameter. Dicker the mounting pipe must however not be, otherwise the supplied mounting hardware is not satisfactory.
For aligning the dish, we have a low-cost satellite finder uses, which we had purchased separately.
The 8 connectors are protected by a plastic cap. In addition, we still have Wetterschutztüllen / grommets used because our balcony is exposed to quite a weathering. The 6 used connections to the protective plastic cap can thereby however now pretty hard move and fits very tightly. We see no problem, because you have not permanently connected to the terminals ran.
For image quality:
We are currently using 6 of 8 ports and are very satisfied with the picture quality. Attached are two televisions and two receivers with twin tuner. In case of bad weather (eg. As rain, storms) has been mounted only in a few HD channels at a transmitter failure. Perhaps we need to slightly readjust the dish again. The (non-HD) digital TV channels were previously fully be received at any time without loss of quality.
Although I can not say much about the 3D reception because we have not enabled 3D transmitter, only so much that the 3D signal arrives definitely. Once we had turned on a 3D transmitter and could see that the input image is displayed definitely in 3D.
We have experienced no significant differences in the image quality due to the misplaced different cable length. We have laid 3x and 3x 15m 30m (measured from dish to receiver and / or TV) quad shielded coaxial cable.
The only difference I could make out in the image quality is, that the picture of the receiver is a tiny bit better than the DVB-S tuner of my Panasonic TV. This has then probably something to do with the terminals and not with the bowl or LNB. In the second of Samsung connected TV we could not verify this.
For audio signal:
The Dolby Digital signal is transmitted in any case, at least for the broadcasts that are sent in Dolby Digital. Otherwise not going of course.
Note for satellite newbies like us: If the Dolby Digital signal can not be there, then it could be a terminal problem as me. About DVB-S I Dolby Digital and not going through the receiver. Here the Panasonic TV is unfortunately think the receiver is not Panasonic, I agree now simply from a stereo, which he then also sent to my home theater system. This problem I am now bypassed with an optical digital audio cable between the receiver and home theater system. Again, this is not a satellite dish problem, but a problem of the terminals.
It follows that we are at a price of 60, - very pleased with this dish and the LNB EUR and can only recommend this dish. I forgive a full five stars.
