Since I am often dependent than nature amateur photographer on large Bennweiten, I've gained this converter and use it together with the Sigma 150-500mm DG OS HSM lens F5,0-6,3 (86mm filter thread) for Canon. The converter and the lens are perfectly matched and deliver very good results. However, I had to try some settings, since one but loses some aperture values. In addition, I would note that the photos with the maximum aperture of the diaphragm act in contrast. The changes noticeably F 16. Need to retain high shutter speeds, ISO values are set high and you have to denoise the images in any case with an appropriate software. The autofocus works no longer, so that needs to be brought into focus manually. There will probably be a trick with taping of contacts, but that I have not concerned myself. Whether you use the stabilizer has to decide each self. At 1000 mm it can happen in any case, that the subject is completely slips out of the picture when the OS is running. Personally I use a tripod, a remote release and have also activated the Spiegelverrieglung because already the vibration can range when lifting to cause camera shake.
To view the images I have from the moon and uploaded from the jumbo jet. Distances these motifs familiar to everyone and so everyone can get an idea of the quality.
Conclusion: Although it requires some preparation and the converter is not necessarily the first choice for snapshots is, I do not want to miss him and can only recommend it.
