I bought with this tripod because of the air suspension. That alone was worth the small extra charge. The closures of various levels are compared to the "base" version better (folding closure).
The tripod is proving good service, with me first with a dedicated flash with a large softbox (Firefly). Later, perhaps a studio flash, but is quite feasible because of the interpretation.

Absolute buy recommendation!
