Doyen Feynman and his co-authors follow a very original way of introduction to the physics in the first volume "Mainly Mechanics, Radiation and Heat", which clearly differs from the other textbooks. At least as someone with a physical education you can read it or by working at a high profit. However, I do not know how much it is good as a first textbook for physics students; usually expected structure and composition of the subject matter in the book differ materially from those in standard introductory courses, at best, it is suitable as a supplement and deepening. Moreover, it is müsig, on this classic to lose more words; the interested reader is referred to the many English reviews.
I preferred the English paperback edition, because it is as good as printing errors, and compared to the last revision compared to the German edition of the hardcover edition priced even cheaper.
The other two volumes are still awaiting the reading.
