(The manufacturer gives 3800 activations a 20sec. With one battery charge. An average alkaline monocell has +/- 12.000 mAh capacity. The 3800x20sec correspond 21.1 hours. This would correspond to a consumption of about 570mA. Could roughly go. see is ..Man (or someone measures it times). And even if the batteries need to be replaced once a year, it is still a great thing for places where it is difficult to install a mains connection.
Addendum: when screwing on the 3rd of 4 now this spotlight on roof overhang slipped me this out of my hand and did not fall about 4 feet deep on the pavement, but obviously on the motion. The lamp is cracked, the mono-cells have fallen out, I was able to glean all within 10 m. But there was nothing broken. No cracks in the housing, full functionality remains. That speaks for the quality of this lamp ...
