I do not use the AC adapter with a Raspberry Pi. The Pi is not overclocked and there are no USB devices connected, the power consumption is thus only approximately 700mA.

This power supply is functioning so, but this is so hot that it begins to smell strange and you almost burn your fingers when pulling it out of the socket. And that's not even under nominal load! Here really seem to be installed and I can not imagine that it holds particularly long only allerbilligste components. I let it now prefer not plugged in when I leave the room, and would definitely buy another power supply.
