How cool is this record? And what that is if you please for a cool band?

These were the first questions that went to me while listening to the new Mando Diao plate Aelita through my head. Although I have Mando Diao in my record collection and occasionally heard their music, especially for, although the good tunes, I have never interested me.

Granted: About 30 years ago I was completely freaked out when listening to this album for sure. Magnificent voices, elaborate arrangements and a spacey atmosphere well for our players. The mix of synth pop, rock, electro Wave and Punk - partly reminiscent of Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Duran Duran and Billy Idol - is truly special and is something of the mainstream over, that the Swedes for this body of work, which marked in my view for a musical new beginning, must pay absolute respect.

Lovers of authentic, diverse and danceable music should come with "Aelita" their money's worth. The quality of the recordings is fortunately at a high level and offers a listening experience of a special kind.
