The beam is bright and relatively large, so that the lamp is Suited also for reading and can illuminate a whole keyboard of a notebook. It also features an on / off switch.
About the flexible gooseneck allows to direct the light easily. Not so good to me the clamp liked: This is dimensioned so large that it is designed for installation on larger screens or shelves. However on thin screens, such as by a chrome book, she finds no support - pity.
I have this therefore mounted on my monitor where the lamp brightens any problems. For the light output only the lamp in my opinion, however, deserves 5 stars.
The third picture shows the illumination of a laptop keyboard!
