Driver installation problems; Custom: all additional software omitted)
Of course, it does not fall out of the general trend: rather cheap printer, ink rather expensive, included cartridge half empty, all installed ink sales tricks in the software, chips to recycling cartridges (mathematically) full waste ink tank = printer dead, lousy service. In fact, I reckon as with previous HP printers so that it gives up the ghost red tape at the latest shortly after the warranty.
+ Print quality is quite good. (Patterns and consumption benchmarks the very detailed test on Druckerchannel [dot] de)
+ Volume is within the scope, speed sufficient for Zuhuse.
+ On plain paper is "standard quality" better than "High Quality", which is probably more suited for premium paper.
+ Probably the smallest A3 printer on the market
+ Rapid start at power
+ Ink is smudge and markers fixed (unlike most photo printers)
~ As the name suggests it is an office printer with four cartridges and do not specialize in high quality photo printing.
~ The printer (like all in the class) a true resolution of 600 dpi, the grain size is to look at a closer visible.
(1200x4800 becoming when two passes with 4 colors multiplied ...)
~ Printhead is fixed in the printer, not on the cartridge - stupid if it dries up, cheaper for frequent printers.
~ Only 1 drawer, not a single sheet feeder, duplex optional.
- The usual points (see top), no difference to other manufacturers.
- The option color ink saving content to print in grayscale with black is hidden in the fourth sub-window of the driver.
(A rogue who thinks evil ...)
- Using USB Ethernet instead of the service functions (eg accurate ink level) are limited via software.
- Paper door only to A4 closed, when you move out on to the A3 drawer is open to dust.
Decisive was comparable to the competition for me the possibility of (sporadic) A3 printing, the A3 for relatively small case, ink costs. Who prints often different formats, used duplex and do not shy away from large enclosures should look the same Epson WF-7110.)
