American Tragedy (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I have long been waiting for this album and was very happy when I finally held it in his hands. Of course I have the CD inserted and heard directly. My first thought was "Is that HU?!". After several of the CD to hear I can confirm now, yes, it is HU, but different, yet equal. The biggest difference is probably the new lead singer Danny, because his voice is as the higher of Deuce and he usually retains the same pitch. In general it can be said that HU has taken a big step towards the mainstream. Pity! Also, I am sorry that you DaKurlzz not to hear even in Swan Songs often, now listen even rarer. Also I'm going to briefly write something about the individual songs.
1. Been To Hell
- In my opinion, the sound forth the hardest song on the album. I would compare it with Undead Swan Songs, as it has a similar "anthem function". 5/5 star.
2. Apologize
- Here already are emerging first pop elements. However, still one of the songs that I still appeal to you, not least thanks to good Parts of J-Dog and Charlie. 4/5 star.
3. Comin 'In Hot
- So to speak, is the song "No.5" American Tragedy. Good party song with a joke, but I liked the first version better than the album version. 5/5 star.
4. My Town
- One of the songs that I zusehr goes towards pop. 3/5 star.
5. I Do not Wanna Die
- One of the highlights of the album, from the division it is reminiscent of City of Swan Songs. Here also shows Danny at one point even he can change his voice) Text is also great, good work by Charlie and J3T. 5/5 star.
6. Hear Me Now
- A new feature, but not too far from the old HU. Like me;) 5/5 stars.
7. Gangsta Sexy
- Reminiscent of Everywhere I go. Here Charlie did a good job and funnyman also supports again. 5/5 star.
8 Glory
- Good song, more rock influence. 5/5 star.
9. Lights Out
- Joa, is still quite good. 4/5 star.
10. Coming Back Down
- After a short acclimatization liked the prerelease version of the song very well. However, the album version in the speed and the pitch has been reduced, a mistake.
3/5 star.
11. Bullet
- In the style of Country, here Charlie had probably tidy his fingers in the game because he actually hears rather Country: D From musicality not mine, but I like the contrast of music / melody and lyrics / sense. 3/5 star.
12. Levitate
- Good, rockier song. However J3T not I like here as well. In general, he tried me in the album to sing too often, he clearly can not, he should be better on pure chanting. 4/5 star.
13. Pour Me
- The counterpart of The Diary, same parts, unfortunately, the idea does not go on. I like that idea, but unfortunately implemented as I said not good enough. 3/5 star.
14. Tendencies
- Another rock song. Good, but nothing groundbreaking. 4/5 star.
15. Mother Murder.
- Good Song, finally what harder. Especially Charlie Part I like very much. 5/5 star.
16. Lump Your Head
- This is clearly jazz with Rapcore. But super implemented and also KurlzZ is. Very good song. 5/5 star.
17 Le Deux
- Good song, more classic. 5/5 star.
18. Scava
- Recovery harder. Here I also like Danny well. 5/5 star.

Please note that this course are all subjective assessments.

By and large, to the album goes too far in the direction of pop / mainstream, although it is HU and it's good. Swan Songs was clearly better, but you can not expect that the tape after everything was just may go on as before. What I have noticed, the ups and downs in the album sadly lacking (not high but based on the feelings, too many songs listen to similar despite fundamentally different texts of the atmosphere here at, in part also belongs to the chorus / melody / Danny, even if he makes an effort.) Just think of Black Dahlia, The Diary and in contrast Everywhere I Go and No.5.

All in all, the album well. It should but the Deluxe Version to buy if possible, otherwise go with the best songs of the album flutes)
