got the SSD today. System cloning went well, repaired boot environment with boot CD, so far everything ok.

Here the relevant key data of my system:

- Intel i7-2700K
- ASUS motherboard P8P67pro,
- 8 GB of memory
- HDD: 2x Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB internal hard drive WD6000HLHX (8.9 cm (3.5 inches), 10000rpm, 3,6ms, 32MB cache), as Drive C and D: used (only one partition)

- Operating system Windows 8.1 Pro, 64bit.

After the SSD was ready for use, I first made some time comparisons. Here, I've reviewed the important events for me, so no theoretical values ​​or benchmarks. Here are the results:

- Start:. From the appearance of the Windows symbol (after the Main Board Self Test) to login screen: 11 sec ago now 9 sec.
- Shutdown: computer is shut down to 3-4 seconds.

Since Windows 8.1 is inherently extremely fast in the start-up and shutdown, and this is by fast hard drives supported, not really wear these 2 seconds when the euphoria .....
The situation is different when large files are copied. Example: Video file 1,9GB from C: to C: \ copy xx. Now requires copying instead of 38 Seconds Gone in 11! That's before an announcement!

As I often do video editing, I used to export a edited video as a MOV file as a benchmark. Before 14 Minutes, now 13 minutes. So no savings. Is also understandable because the Convert more CPU power than required disk throughput. From this perspective, the SSD is not an advantage (at least none that justifies this price).

In general, the work is but become liquid, the windows overlook faster, the Visual Studio compiler now works pretty fast (was with VS 2013 for otherwise the death ...).

Under the consideration that my system was not necessarily slow before, I see nothing that could tend to my enthusiasm.
