Delivery went as usual fix on Amazon. After I watched a couple of videos, such as the display should be replaced, I set to work. Granted, fiddling with the small cog was a bit tricky with a bit of tact that was, however, to cope well.
After a successful connection of the new displays are on the device - what a shock: the new display does not fit correctly into the appropriate socket / frame of the iPhone 5s. I could twist and turn as I wanted: in the end I have the lower part never get pressed firmly into the socket. Even with a little more pressure, I could not solve the problem. However, more pressure I did not apply, because I was afraid to destroy the new display in order.
Well, since I'm already come this far, I then wanted to test whether it works for at least - but the screen remained black. I have tried a lot, even charged the battery ... The screen remained dark.
I then all scaled back and my old display reinstated - which worked flawlessly.
Of course I've read from the ability to send the smartphone along with the repair set for Giga Fixoo and to use the display of those. After reading the reviews (multi-week repair time, non-functional smart phones came back, the display made after 4 weeks problems, poor quality of the display with respect to brightness / color and any dots or streaks on the display) but I refrained from this option. I give my smartphone but rather for professional repairs on the spot here - I might pay 40 EUR more, but my phone can pick up within a short time and I have just one point of contact here, the installation should not work so have as desired.
