I thought that many warnings were only a small percentage of all D600 owners. Then I see this in front of me, which I had to look very similar already in some forums. Especially in the left half of stains everywhere. Aperture 32 and Gradiationskurven make the scale of the disaster visible.
It's such a shame to this great camera that would be worth every penny - without this problem, which unfortunately greatly devalued. An Air Blower of the brand Giotto was able to remove a large spot after several minutes of treatment. Unfortunately, most small patches remain permanently.
This is not a marketing campaign against Nikon - Nikon even if then I love my D5000 and the D600 is again so much better.. Without this problem get the D600 5 star and an excellent review from me. With this issue I'm worried about whether the value of my Nikon and lenses is retained when Nikon this path goes on ...
The camera was purchased in late April and is according to a statement from merchant previously supplied by Nikon (SN 60780XX) one day.
A spot image I uploaded (no crop):
--------------------------------
Update1: Even after 3000 actuations with 1 / 2000s always occur new spots. Some can not be removed, but a few. At aperture 16 the spots fall on 13x10cm prints to negative. I'm definitely not hypersensitive. In retrospect, I regret that I have listened to those who the problem (for any reason whatsoever) trivialize. For next to it as me 2 days ago goes: Let it! Save yourself the trouble!
The camera is now to Dusseldorf at Nikon and I. With my D5000 to Florence Thank Nikon!
--------------------------------
Update2: Nikon Dusseldorf was very quick with the service including closing exchange (approximately 1 week).. The old spots were only very faintly visible directly after cleaning at aperture 22. I would have accepted. After 30 trips but new stubborn stains were visible in aperture 16 again, this time in the middle of image. The dealer refused to repatriate, so the camera goes back to Nikon. If the problem is not solved then, I'm going to insist by all means on an exchange or refund my money back.
Conclusion after four weeks: Three days of fun and otherwise very much abdominal pain for a lot of money. I wish you that you do not make the same mistake I did. Before the winter of 2013 and the corresponding opinion Nikons I would stay away from the D600.
Incidentally, nearly one-third report of the 5-star reviews also from the problem - which I let myself unfortunately fooled.
--------------------------------
Update3: Nikon Dusseldorf a replacement unit has appointed for me this time. After a few weeks waiting time and short demand this in mid-June has arrived with me. Serial number of the new camera is 6087XXX. The first release had only a very small spot on the top left. Ten actuations with 1 / 2000s plus ten trips with 1 / 4000s later I made test images at f32, f22 and f16 of blue sky. After 22 trips 2 spots with a diameter of 16 pixels (f32) were left-center and right-side up. At aperture 22 of diameter about 20 pixels and the blackout was still clearly visible and at f 16 were the stains, if you know where to look, still visible (about 30 pixels in diameter, slightly darkened).
Both Nikon and the dealer (owing to the paucity tripping) have agreed to take back the camera. I have wondered whether I start regularly wet themselves clean. But "regular" would be me in the case of the D600 simply far too often, and edit any image from aperture 16 in Photoshop I do not want.
Conclusion after 7 weeks and 2 times D600: Nikon is obviously just one year after launch still cameras with this deficiency ago. In my case the error at 100% of cameras were present. Whether really 100% of D600 are infested can and I will not judge. According to a Nikon employee "is [it] not, however, all delivered D600 devices". I finish my D600 drama and now after 7 weeks I am, after all, an experience richer ". Never buy back Nikon products that are less than 1 year in the market" (I wonder if I should leave out of this experience, the second part of the sentence, I do not know ...)
Addendum: the desire for a full-frame camera I have now but met with the D800. My experience with it and a little compared to the D600 I have summarized in my review for the D800:
