I have a 80 cm goldfish aquarium without plants. (Plants make in a goldfish bowl and little sense.) The four LED light strips hold bombproof by the 3M tape on the back of the light strip at the Aquarium plastic cover. The light is much brighter than I had expected. As a "night lighting" which actually looks not enough. The fish obviously feel very comfortable, make the white light to its name and will not be blinded by too bright "light plant" from fluorescent lights. The installation was easy. I'll probably save a lot of money in the future for electricity, after switching from 30 to a little over 5 watts. Addendum of 28/08/2014: I found out about three weeks ago that some LEDs yellowish lit and the adhesive but not as bombproof held as at the beginning, I have cleaned the light strip with bathroom cleaner (because of calcification), beiseitigem at the ends with nachgeklebt tape and fastened to protect commercial cling film over the light strip with adhesive tape for protection. Cause of these phenomena was namely splash. Since then, no changes have occurred. -No Fear that LEDs are not so hot that the thin plastic wrap will melt. And the light is not visible become darker.
