Caveat: I'm a fan of the Op-tech support solutions. For the big cameras (Nikon FX and DX), there is the "adult" system in several versions, for small (Fuji X-E1, X100, Sony NEX3N) is used with shoulder strap and wrist strap, this small QD system. Even this small system is in my experience for more than just compact usable, system cameras with less than 1kg weight, I would trust the QD system readily. The wrist strap is pleasantly soft on the skin and through the bilateral textile covering also sufficiently resistant to tearing. A clip can be moved on the wrist strap to get a snug fit. So far so good. Unfortunately, this terminal is not optimal, because gladly the neoprene strap twisted when moving or taking off the tape therein so that one must often "roll" to the two ends of the neoprene strap lie parallel in the terminal. Conclusion: I would not have missed the part, but the twisting of neoprene loop in the terminal's annoying.
