The figures are indeed made plain simple wood but still have a high half-life. The woods are very well made. No burrs or rough surfaces are present, so that one can draw no splinters!
The game is for two, as well as in the group a lot of fun.
If you feel like, you can also create your own game ideas with the figures or vary the degree of difficulty with the distance of the woods and thus provides lasting fun.
From me there is 5 out of 5 stars.
