Ideal for tarpaulin

I have the Awl ordered specially for repairing our awning.
As yarn have to Gütermann Extra Strong (Colour no: 800) - white also purchased through Amazon. The wound yarn I have a precaution not used, the quality of which I can not be assessed.
With the result I am very satisfied. The Nähale is quickly loaded with the yarn, I have to the wooden spindle with the cordless screwdriver and a suitable drill (I think a 8-with some electrical tape has fit well) rotate and wound the yarn to this Wese.
Threading went smoothly, and a short YouTube video, the sewing technology was clarified.
After a short learning curve (actually only a few minutes) sewing simply ran out of hand. The awl is great in the hand. Through its bulbous shape can be effortlessly controlled exercise power. Even with overlaps I could pierce the needle without problems.
I can recommend the sewing eye without compromising.
