(+) Highlights
=> Excellent support on an ear morphology "standard" even in intense running, which is quite exceptional in the market (most helmets fall at one time or another, even the most tortured or claiming cut for athletes)
=> Sleek design, simple and consistent (only if you like the look "sportswear" it goes without saying). The yellow accents could have been more vivid (in real conditions, yellow is much duller than most sports outfits)
=> Excellent resistance to sweat (helmet used in running to over 38 ° C in the Caribbean)
=> Easy maintenance (just move the helmet in a little water)
=> Very light, is completely forgotten
=> Rear cable neck flat section to prevent it from tangling, which is seen
=> Very good pairing on the fly and multi-devices (tested with: iPhone 4S, iPod and iPad 3rd generation), which is still too rare. Very simple too (nothing to do, except at the first installation)
=> True finishing touches that make the difference: a female voice synthesis informs status ("high level battery", etc.), a headset battery status icon appears in the status bar high on the iOS paired player (iPhone / iPad)
=> A2DP / AVRCP protocols are well managed on iOS devices (next / previous track ...)
=> Price via Amazon.com is, as usual, very competitive and a real bargain
(-) The weak points
=> ** UPDATE ** March 2013: this unfortunately suffers from a serious design flaw or manufacturing. After a few months (to me, 9), it suddenly stops working for no apparent reason (seeing from the fixed purple). Browsing the Internet, we see hundreds of similar stories all over the world. Fortunately, failure is not fatal because the customer service is very efficient JABRA France and the replacement was made for me in 15 days (whew!) But it is necessary that the failure occurs during the warranty period and is especially environmental aberration when you think of all discarded and replaced appliances in the world. This helmet is a gem for all sportsmen and women who are its light weight, ergonomics and form that takes pretty good ears. So: as long as JABRA corrects this problem of premature obsolescence in a future v2! Provided they do not abandon this model problem! I can not imagine running without bluetooth and helmets who "hold water" be counted on the fingers of one hand.
=> ** UPDATE ** March 2013: the extended use, the ribbon cable that connects the two earpieces destabilizes the helmet and can be dropped frequently. This happens when we begin to sweat profusely during a race, a course or exercise. The sweat then prevents the cable from sliding against the skin of the neck and helmet can fall. It is particularly distressing to find this problem on a wireless headset but that is a problem common to all Bluetooth headsets sports market: they are rigid cable (other disadvantages, such as rupture), flexible cable with round section (worst) or, as here in flat cable. Two independent atria are the only solution, but it probably would pose problems in cost and balance. The helmet sports is a puzzle;)
=> Battery, given the small footprint, is the weak point. Do not count on more than 4 hours of real battery life (or even much less, varies greatly depending on temperature)
=> The sound is pretty average (which is safer on the outside but disappointing from a purely musical point of view). Attention contrary to what is often written in the press, it is not a form of "in-ear" but "above ears" (above the ears without entering the ear canal). This is obviously not a helmet for lovers of good sound but it is enough in a gym not too noisy (careful, at this price, there is no cancellation technology sounds)
=> The scope is very low and, because of the mode of propagation of waves bluetooth, it is imperative to place the player, eg iPod, on your right. The closer to the helmet, the better (Recommended: cuff). This constraint is particularly awkward and painful, as this significantly reduces in practice the freedom promised by the Bluetooth
=> Hatch masking the charging port seems very fragile
=> In practice, the integrated FM radio receiver is a useless gadget, alas (without storing stations)
=> The ergonomics of the controls is perfectible (the plurality of functions per button, a confounding factor during exercise, again!)
