The Manfrotto 709B is working extremely solid (Full-metal construction with very thoughtful clamping mechanism) and met exactly my demands on a table stand: Small, handy, stable. My Nikon D300 with 16-85 lens - together, after all, about 1.6kg it bears no mosquitoes, that is, without changing the position even at a slightly inclined downwards camera position (always very critical in Table tripods). It is of course advisable, the stance of the stand align so that the camera with extended telephoto lens can not tilt forward (physics can now times not outwit ...). Conclusion: Highly recommended - worth its price.
