The operation as a whole is easier than the i10 - who knows the COWON-operation, will come clear in no time. Anyone who thinks it's like Android or Apple, will have to settle something. So awkward as the D2 + operation is not, however. The sound is COWON typical class, the Klangverbieger are also all available again - as usual. I do not need as before.

In general: It is big and you can see the content in many places even without glasses to read but the size is not the 480x272 pixels of Hit. What you buy now? X9, J3 or i10? Since I have all and sound all the same I say: the J3 - you should get him. The X9 runs probably by far the longest, is extremely well made, due to the weight rather the player for home, also because, like the J3 with up to 32GB expandable (manufacturer information, 64GB are quite possible I have in connection with the J3 already read myself have not tried it). Not so the i10. The J3 has the best display is also well made, as well as the i10. The i10 is easy, no problem to wear it in weight in a shirt pocket. I had the i10 twice with this, very pleasant in Brazil. But he is not a true Touch Player - this may have for one or the other advantages or disadvantages precisely.
COWON referred to X9 themselves as "super player" - that is true only in conjunction with the term. Everything else we already know. Please do not let this perspective dazzle.
Only: the J3 is new so well no longer how to get, the i10, we also see the problems of availability and to my knowledge there are the X9 officially in Germany not even ... my Amazon is from France (less than 200 for 32GB).

Nevertheless, may be worth the X9 an INVESTMENT. Up on the screen, everything is here whining at a high level. With the COWONs's will be similar to the old portable CD players - very good pieces of top-class today are extremely expensive, needed to be understood. COWON still sets the standard in sound, so he gets the X9 also 4 stars. None of the candidates can but the old X5 beating sound (which I have also :-) that one mitlerweile very easy to 64GB if not can upgrade 128GB. Max. Volume similar to the i10, 'nen tick quieter than the J3 but there is the distance to the D2 or X5. But it loose enough (please when you first boot up the player "non-European Union" set. If one accepts "European Union" is activated, the volume limit and the player is clear (!) Quieter.
Who has the J3 does not need the X9. Who has a i9 and a fan is and needs more space and also hear a lot, can be happy with the X9 again. Whoever comes i10 well with the, has a very good player.
Who has no COWON and has not rankommt the other two with the X9 perhaps again the opportunity to acquire a fairly ultimate player.
(Also not for the i10) hard to get accessories for the X9 - unfortunately.

Update: I leave it at 4 stars, but the player sent back. Final can me extremely long season alone is unconvincing. I have my other players simply significantly more often in hand / in your pocket. The biggest drawback is the display, even though it is a nice size. Each eg Samsung mobile phone can play videos / films clearly convincing, even a Samsung Gio, or successor, the Mini 2, with the same resolution (480s screen).
