If equipped with remote control: lack of quality in the remote control

The infrared port I paid for convenient operation with a remote control. The original Burda control unit (transmitter) cost 2008 (with another provider) about 70 euros (totally overpriced). After 3 years, the housing surface was slightly tacky, after about 5 years so strong that one might no longer attack it (the plastic dissolves). A request regarding Burda. The quality defect was laconically dismissed the fact that the warranty period had expired anyway. Hence my recommendation: do not buy recommendation, stay away from the Burda-stations!
