Man / woman must already be in the mood to. I want to put it times in pictures. A well-maintained car from the 80s is quite nice, very individual and it does go well, but buy and use every day, I would not. No contemporary comfort, usually barely elegance and just a little dowdy. The EDT is so similar. Hard from the start and leathery. One has the feeling of sitting in a tobacco plantation. Nevertheless, not unpleasant, but it is very, very intense and sprawling. Nix for the office. Since suffering possibly the college / inside. The smell adheres very long. This caution! The next morning, despite nightly shower smelled quorum even my pillow.
But now I will try to help you with your purchasing decision. So how do I describe the scent? You may remember the men's hairdressers your fathers. Seasoned, gray-haired men from the mid 50 - Type Sydney Pollack - with thicker clock, perm and gold chain (it was just so at the time). Who in contrast to most of today's "Cut & Go salons" yet understood their craft and themselves seen as a service and not as a superstar, but it had in these stores as a very special fragrance. Quorum is for me, so to speak, the "essence" of such barbershops. Kinda nice, but nothing more really from the present time. Much like Captain Kirk vs. Captain Picard :-).
I do not know where I'm going to wear it, because personally I wear fragrance to match your mood and attitude. There are with me quasi "recreational Fragrances" (eg Miro, or Plenheim Bouquet -. Lemony, light) or "Beautiful reminder fragrances" (for example Cool Water by Davidov, Weil's my first perfume in the youth including the first.. great love was), "Party Fragrances" (eg Jill Sander Sun Men and Chanel Egoiste) and also "working Fragrances" (for example, Baldessarini or Blueberry for meetings in a suit, if you again have to get a bissl more stringent over..; -).
Conclusion: To stay with the 80s-car example, you buy an old "baby". Inexpensive, intense but just with a little patina. Same one takes it probably much more true than the environment. My dear wife, for example, finds it great, not pushy and kept male. 4 stars is, I like it. But it does not a 100%, although it has the potential to objectively pretty good perfume.
Addendum October 2014: After nearly 10 months, I realize that I now increasingly and gladly take the scent. I will order it again.
