It is the latter. Despite the absence of Peter Gabriel, the best times of the group (Nursery Crime The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway) are here recorded live in sometimes better versions in the studio, including Cinema Show with its trio of percussionists outside Common (Chester Thompson, Bill Bruford of Yes and Phil Collins during the instrumental part). The rest is as breathtaking: I Know What I Like (with Collins tambourine solo, see interior photos), Afterglow, Firth Of Fifth, the magnificent Supper's Ready ... These masterpieces going very well test the live, the voice of Collins often resembling that of Gabriel. Get used to these long titles often exceeding nine minutes, but this album is both a first real intense and best of show.
