The purchase decision was due to the availability of (built) Conax card reader (eg MTV) and Common Interface for a Alphacrypt module (for Sky). For this I ordered from Amazon the Alphacrypt Light module of Mascom, and to update the firmware (s. Reviews to!) But worked the Sky channels as well, in this module only with a S02 smart card from Sky. MTV receiveing the Conax card reader was seamless. Update on the receiver itself via downloading from the manufacturer's website and transfer by USB stick. But beware: The own program list is overwritten by the default list! So save settings previously on USB, and afterwards write back. Instead manual is exclusively a Schnellstartpamphlet in (on the homepage downloadable); But anyone who has ever set up a digital receiver, you can easily wade through the fairly clear menu and adjust all the necessary settings. The sometimes criticized long switching times I feel as normal, particularly when 2 different encryption systems and additional exchange of HD and "Normal" when zapping. The handy remote control also works flawlessly. Very positive, I find that once you enter the Parental Control PIN of Sky in the settings menu, and then never bothered with it again, if one so wishes. Also "remembers" the receiver also to the language preferences of the individual stations: I select them solely English (if available), eliminates the eternal change of language options, which is also in the recording of broadcasts in the absence of advantage. Connectors: 1x SCART (eg VCR), 1x HDMI, RCA for audio L / R, Video S / PDIF, satellite cable in and out, 1x USB 2.0 (unfortunately behind) even with media player for popular video formats. Overall I am very satisfied with the receiver, and would recommend it anytime. The 5 star missing ausschließich because of unavailable instructions!
