I cool the fan for 4 months in operation around my hot running satellite receiver Kathrein UFS902. The receiver, fortunately with a USB port, is not optimal in a closet and despite the open door there was from about 23 degrees room temperature Problems Receiving HD channels. The heat radiation of the receiver is enormous and in the closet, it was really warm. Thanks to USB fan now everything works fine, the case stays cold, clear Vebesserung image quality and no Bildaussetzter with HD reception more. Even the sometimes long hours and daily use creates the fan apparently without problems.
This equipment as a solution for überheizende satellite receiver (does not seem to be unusual) I can only recommend. Easier, cheaper and just as good as any other solutions found using all any fan. However, the USB port is blocked on the receiver, but does not bother me. If necessary, you can disconnect the ventilator yes again and I probably will not need it anyway in winter.
As promised in the description of the device is really so low that is not even really noticed while watching TV the minimum humming in the background.
