The protection is very thick and resistant plastic with inside resistance foam to properly protect the memory cards.
We must put the memory cards (maximum 4) in a specific direction or it will not fit. Once in the box, they do not move and are not likely to become damaged.
The small carabiner is very convenient to hang in his bag to his doc or digital camera bag.
I have so far not met with defects. Considering the price and quality of the box, it's a product that I recommend.
