But now to my criticism of Berndes: This roaster has at least 3 different dimensions and volume in Berndes ("38x23 cm / 8,00 L"), the own berndes24 shop ("ca. 38 x 26 cm") and Amazon geliste , 4. A statement was then to be found on the packaging: 38.5 * 28cm and 5 liters. To obtain a matching of the roaster zone my induction oven roaster, a slightly more accurate indication of the ground contact area would be there but at least reasonable. Other manufacturers do it, too, the size of the contact surface, the pot from one edge to the other edge and the size incl. Handles specify individually. How then could come to the strong variation in volume (5 instead of 8 liters) at Berndes, is beyond me.
Berndes: And so I want to have the future please specify clean with all products ;-) =>
The exact contact surface is 29,5x18cm the bottom part and the cover 31x20cm. The 38.5 * 27.5 cm is about the external dimension at the widest point (= on the contact surface of the cover), where there are the internal dimensions of 36x25cm and the roasting pan with handles is just 48cm wide.
BTW: The ground heats up to my roaster zone and relatively evenly, thanks to the heat transfer also almost identical in the area of the roasting pan bottom, which approximately 2cm all round beyond the induction cooking zone. (I have this otherwise unfortunately not read anything as Induction roaster must be on the casserole zone "flush".) Therefore, I see no need for a cooking zone completely tailor-roaster.
