DSLR's I've been using for over 10 years. Only Canon 10D, 40D and 6D for 2 years. L lenses like 24-70 and 2.8 70-200 2.8 IS I, I use since the acquisition of the 10D. A 2-fold Extender II is within the scope.
The Sony Alpha 6000 I bought the package with the lenses Sel 1650 SEL 55210 and the SEL 50 1.8. Clear intention not to invest in expensive lenses. Without going into details, I'm with the aforementioned objectives for photos more than satisfied.
How well an adapter to work, I see again and again, when I run my Canon EOS M with EF or EF-S lenses, particularly likes the use of EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS.
I have now resorted to the adapter discussed and it was no longer a surprise that the supplied adapter bore the product / brand name "Commlite".
Adapter and tripod mount are working very well, the adapter simply accesses the Sony bayonet with remaining minor game. The Commlite adapter is 30 grams heavier than the Canon adapter.
The preparation of the EF used (S) lenses had any problems.
With regard to befuerchtender reflections at Commlite adapter should be noted that the inner tube is black and halfway matt. The Canon adapter comprises in the tube to about 20 grooves that act against any reflections. The Commlite adapter is however more required, since the tube is a "full-frame", that corresponds to the Austrittsoeffnung Eintrittsoeffnung of the tube.
The following lenses I have used hundreds of photographs to assess in each case:
EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS,
EF 50 1.4,
EF 75-300 IS,
EF 100 2.8 IS,
EF 70-200 IS 2.8 (+ 2x Extender II).
The autofocus takes 3 to 4 seconds and was 17-55 2.8 IS, EF 50 1.4 very closely with the EF-S lenses.
In the long focal lengths you've already seen on a 24-inch monitor, that the focal point was not set perfectly. I then changed relatively quickly to MF at telephoto. That was by no means laboriously with the Alpha 6000.
It is striking that the focus drive only times in both directions and then zoom scans in more than 5 individual steps of the focal point. The lenses EF 100 2.8 IS, EF 70-200 2.8 IS work a little faster when you exclude by the distance on the lens close range.
The communication between the lens and the Alpha 6000 Gehaeuse is good. Some lenses require one or the other second until the shutter is shown in the display Sony (after switching on).
Image management I use ACDSee Pro 6. In general, the various lens models were not recognized, instead you see the following entry: "DT 0mm F0 SAM".
2 exceptions I noted. The EF 75-300 was identified as 28-85mm F3.5-4.5 and the EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS has been identified as Sony's Power Zoom 16-50.
In everything I already knew about the Commlite adapter, a not unimportant thing I had experience only. In the AF search process quite long the IS has no function and may only intervene after a supposed focus. Tested with 3 lenses.
But in MF mode, the IS works perfectly. Since I've already been accepted to work at the telephoto end with this adapter with MF, this is for me then no problem.
With reflections I had little trouble because I avoid backlit situations. Reflections I saw only in a situation caused by the reflection of sunlight by the gentle waves of a lake.
Conclusion: This adapter is worth its price and a useful accessory if you has some non-Sony lenses.
