I have two medium-sized dogs. In Mitsubishi Space Wagon I use the screens on the backseat windows. But they are quite good geeigent. Only then remains between the frame and grille open a gap, where you can grab good pure. In itself not a problem. But a smaller dog could still push through his head and hurt possibly. For me, this gap arises because the windows do not even go straight down, but the window frame is a curvature. That's just from the car ago already that way.
