On being installed, the drive can push only with unusually high force in the SATA connector strip. But ok, then the contact will probably be very reliable ...
During commissioning, but then two disappointments: was with my device
- The throughput at the eSATA port significantly lower than with cheaper packages. (Writing only with max 140 MB / sec instead of 210 MB / sec, which otherwise will bear the disk to another housing conditions:.. Windows 7 64 bit, 12 large files containing a total 19 GB of internal SSD copied with NTFS on the HD. with NTFS.)
- The USB port is defective: The just properly partitioned via eSATA, formatted and recorded disk appears as unformatted!
Maybe I caught a "Monday device". I'll return in any case ...

Today I received the replacement device. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same symptoms: With a Seagate ST3000VN000 "in the belly" it only works via the eSATA port but not via the USB port. Perhaps the plate with 3TB is just too big?
