The device is 25 grams light, handy (28x86x20 mm) and operate with replaceable AAA batteries or batteries. This means in practice that during the charging not waived the unit needs service or next to a wall outlet. Especially when traveling, this represents a not unterschaetzenden advantage over fixed built-in battery.
Positive note is also the automatic bookmark function: After turning on the player, the playback can be continued where they left off when off. The device remembers not only the last played file, but also the position in that file. If in the meantime, however, the power supply is interrupted in order to exchange about a dead battery, so playback is always continued at the beginning of the last played file. That's too bad, because it benefits the bookmark function decreases somewhat.
In addition, at each battery change some other settings such as language and Equalizer lost. Since I do not use them, this is for me is not a problem. Who, however, is not satisfied with the default settings, soon likely to pull their hair out.
Regarding the Hoerbuchtauglichkeit two more minor drawbacks are observed:
First, the changes between two files will be marked by a faint beeping. Whoever hears Audio Books that are composed of many short files, which could have them feel disturbed over time. I convert such audiobook CDs therefore no longer in one file per track, but in a large file.
Second, it is not possible with the Intenso 3601450 unfortunately, to rewind the file by boundaries. For example, when playing the third of five files can be forwarded with the fast-forward button while up to the end of the fifth file, but does not return to the Schnellruecklauf key into the second or first file. So if you have not understood at the end of the second file something and the player is already at the beginning of the third file, so you have to completely skip back to the beginning of the second file and fast forward from there to the end of file. Another reason why playing audiobooks with many short files with this unit is not recommended.
In addition, the folder navigation is very tedious because some of the changes in a parent folder is not possible with a particular key, but only by selecting a specific menu item. So always must be navigated through the first or the last file of a folder addition to being able to leave their respective folders. When filled with many files folders this can be quite a bit umbequem. Other players allow the exit of a folder using a specific key, which is the better solution.
Despite these minor shortcomings of Intenso 3601450 is overall a solid and preisguenstiger MP3 player. I got used to after a few weeks on the described problems and the device would then buy again, but certainly hope to an improved successor.
