My old and reliable Sharkoon Combo Pro Lan had next eSATA "only" USB 2.0, but also a card reader and two additional USB ports front. Unfortunately, they resisted all attempts by the firmware update that now with some HDs had problems, so I just looked the other hand, so a new one.

The anchor is easily and quickly connect, the problems described here, for example, to the power supply I had not! Also it is absolutely quiet with regular hard drive. Everything makes a robust impression.

I should emphasize that it also comes with 4TB drives without problems deal! Although a production plate under the ground still has the imprint 3TB, the firmware is but obviously able to recognize everything over 2TB. My WD Green 4TB runs quietly and without problems, I could also format in the anchor. They connected with me via eSATA, simultaneous operation via USB 3.0 is not possible anyway.

A small drawback, therefore only 4 points, is speed. Currently I get (under Win 7) for reading and writing "only" data rates 62-71 MB / s, but quite stable then. And both in the home network from the server, as well as of internal HDs. Since the Sharkoon was faster (with the same hard drive to 80MB / s).
