What album !!!!! For his first album Lizz Wright hits very hard, a great album from start to finish, it has everything to be a star ... Lizz has a voice between Anita Baker and Oleta Adams and his musical range is a mix between soul / jazz / blues. Emotion transpires throughout this CD, Forty thousand times better than Diana Krall or Norah Jones. There's no synthesizers, but the Fender Rhodes of hammond b-3 or piano. Note the presence of cords of 3 titles. The album is produced by the great Tommy LiPuma (Michael Franks, Natalie Cole, George Benson, Al Jarreau, etc.), Brian Blade (Norah Jones) and Jon Cowherd, Al Schmitt is in the mix. Note the participation of Chris Potter on sax seen alongside Steely Dan ... Note that the song "Blue Rose" has everything to become a tube or certainly a classic. Do not hesitate a single second you obtain this CD if you do not buy you will miss something awesome ... One of the best album of 2003. It astonished me that it is not nominated for the Grammy Awards ... We hear about it?
