I also have the Inspire T6100 Creative, so I have noticed some differences between these two products. The kit is connected to a sound card Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (PC so), and my Wii.
The transformer is in the chamber, which is nice. The audio cables are beautiful not be shielded, they are quite thick and in one piece (I've ranted enough against the cables for all my other kit, which is separated so easily that I had to tape them) .
The subwoofer is quite small and its membrane is positioned downwards. It was therefore entitled to four feet to prevent the sound is absorbed by the soil (and ears of neighbors). The bass has a good presence and seemed quite heavy to me by default. I had to drop a little.
I do not know if this is because the product is new, but the membrane vibrates unpleasantly on a classical music I tried to test. This is not to saturation, but maybe the frequency in question does not count in the strengths of the model (no parasitic vibration on my T6100). I also sometimes notes a low saturation (they "curl" at the front satellites) in some video game music (an example: the music of the Wii menu). It is rare, so I spend. But I hope not frequently find other examples. The blast also seemed to me stronger than my Creative kit.
The satellites are rather large and are molded in medium quality plastic. This is not fake, but it does not weigh very heavily in the hand (the finish is good, however, as for the rest). Thick enough, they do not issue provided a sound very muscular and colorful, and I remained a little on my hunger.
The volume knob is separate from the on / off button, allowing to keep our volume "ideal."
Side music, so do not expect wonders. That's enough to listen in the background, but they are obviously not made for listening to music. Can we blame them?
Finally, note that once all the cables are connected, the speakers recreate everything sent to them at the same time: console and computer. There is no switch between sources, which pleases me. The LED indicating that the kit is operating is pale orange, which is discreet and exchange the farting-blinding blue light that can be found elsewhere.
It is a product in the average of this price range. Being able to connect a console (among others) is a definite plus.
EDIT 14/07/11
The switch begins to make his. The spring is probably involved because the button does not always stay in place. To turn, no problem, but to turn, I must now take me two or three times. It is painful, especially considering the age of the equipment (less than eight months)!
