I had a few specifications about my new camera bag: - You must have space and protection for my X-E2, charger, spare batteries and the following lenses: - Fujinon 18mm 2.0 - Fujinon 35mm 1.4 - Canon FD 85mm 1.2 - In addition, it should be small and unobtrusive is styled - I want a handle can close so tightly that no one can reach into it quietly in the crowd. - Last: The thing is good for something and not "give up" during intensive use so soon. I can anticipate: My expectations were met. The space available at the Retrospective 5 is perfectly adequate for my purposes - and the broad 85er fits into it. If the bag is larger, they would (me) too large. The material from which the bag was made is a rough cotton fabric that is impregnated perhaps. Waterproof or waterproof bag is not. There is a rain cover of a black film which is attached with a short strap to the bag and you can get out with a handle from a side pocket and pull over the bag. Then you are also in a strong downpour on the safe side. The material provides enough "crumple zone" around the precious contents. Therefore, one can inadvertently sometimes come accidentally against a fixed object, without the contents being damaged. Schön is the large number of built-in compartments. The large main compartment has been divided - located next to the large main compartment, a side compartment that can be closed separately and in which there are more minor subjects, so you can batteries, memory cards and the like accommodated separately. Almost most important thing for me is that I'm no more than necessary attention to me with the bag. Neither pickpockets still passersby. The closure of the bag is made generous Velcro material. One need only open the plastic lid - and already grips the velcro. Then you can feel it clearly when the bag is opened by a third party, and it falls out nothing if it is dropped or tipped over. The bag is very expensive. But it is (to me) worth. Therefore - wg. the high price of currently more than 140 euros with mild abdominal pain - but a 5-star rating. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++ Even an addendum (hopefully not get confused). I have a heavy and unwieldy system DSLR (Canon 40D with many fixed focal lengths) away and eventually separated because I was looking for something small and light. After much testing and a few detours, I have decided for the X system (X-E2) and have arrived completely. Lately I've been watching that still is my equipment again extensive (and heavier). Fortunately, the bag is described here - precisely because it is not so great - a limiting factor that prevents me actually to take more than three lenses and leave the charger at home (and rather take two interchangeable batteries - enough even with intensive use the whole weekend). This helps to keep the weight low and to promote the joy of making pictures. Less is more. And often enough anyway a "50s" (KB equivalent). Along with a "27er" or instead, a "21s" one is well equipped for most situations. The third objective is to me either a 100mm f / 2.0 (Canon FD), which simply offers incredible color and bokeh or very bright 85mm f / 1.2 (Canon FD). The two short-Teles, with its converted 150mm or 130mm but about bringing both quite a bit of weight with. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++ On a very positive feature of this small pocket I would like to mention. The pouch is closed with two wide Velcro straps, holding the cover of the bag is reliably held on the bag. When the lid is closed, a reach-in is no longer possible. The Velcro straps make quite a "noise" when they are opened. So you created quite a bit of attention, especially in children or pets that wince properly. This effect may perhaps be quite helpful in crowds, if a criminal fellow intends to investigate the contents of the bag unterlaubt and possibly expropriate and busies herself to the Velcro straps. You can hear it well when the bag is opened, even when things get quite noisy in the area. The manufacturer of the pocket has also provided a "silent mode". The owner has the possibility to attach two narrow strips of cloth so the Velcro that locks almost did not "barnacles". The opening is then virtually silent. Unobtrusive photography (in churches or in groups of people) - which is a typical application of the small and inconspicuous system cameras - making it possible.
