For 10 euros you get here a solid aluminum produced GU10 spot, which glows in a pleasant neutral-white light, neither yellowish nor bluish. You can use it where it counts on good color rendering therefore also in the kitchen or in a store. The light beam is very uniform and relatively wide, 1 m diameter is already at about 80 cm distance. However, the dimming function only works with a trailing edge dimmer for electronic transformers, with a phase cut dimmer for incandescent lamps it flickers. The spot can be dimming down not quite zero.
Engineering and Construction: The whole spot is modular and can be dismantled completely. The lens is fixed with a screw ring. The transducer is located in the base and is not shed. The electrical safety distances could be better. Theoretically, you could even take out the converter and drive the LEDs to an external constant current source. The LED chips sitting on a highly thermally conductive plate (chip on board), which is glued to the aluminum housing of the reflector.
Too bad, except for the power rating could recommend the spot perfectly.
