In short, a Chromebook is a computer designed by Google that works with the Chrome OS. It is very fast, requires no maintenance, the unit is small and lightweight and very pleasant to use.
The system works with the "cloud" which means that the storage of your data and applications are used on the Internet. You can not install Office or Photoshop but these programs exist on the Internet in a lighter version (Google Drive or Microsoft Skydrive for Office and Pixlr for Photoshop).

So it is always possible to find a solution to the problems and work smoothly. The PC has a standard file system which allows to upload files (attachments etc ...) and open such files photos, music, video, Office files, etc ... from the Internet or USB.
