I was never so enthusiastic about German films, but "Manitou's Shoe" is an exception. Alone when I saw the trailer, I thought to myself "this is certainly the perfect nonsense - but awesome" and that has then also true. Seldom have I laughed so hard at a movie. The actors (most notably of course Bully Herbig in his dual role) are great. Well, except maybe the actress of Uschi. She seems a bit artificial. And I also think that the gags are not deep - on the contrary, some are really not so simple jokes, which otherwise are found nowhere more. And although be (next to several others) pulled through the cocoa throughout the film gay, I never once felt that it was kind of hurtful or discriminatory. On The Contrary! Slogans like "Do you hear that? They're playing our song!" between Cowboys are actually kind of cute. That the whole thing was pure fun is one notices indeed the fact that there are many Bully fan clubs in the gay scene! "Manitou's Shoe" is a movie you can watch over and over again!
